The Executive Chairman of Alimosho Local Government Hon. Jelili Adewale Sulaimon has expressed his joy at the large turn out of people during the first day of the 3- day free eye screening program put together by Alimosho Local Government in collaboration with the World Muslim League.
Speaking at the Council Secretariat, the Venue of the program, the Chairman explained that more than 700 people were registered during the Screening program and all of them were attended to by the health personnel on ground.
He explained further that over three hundred people were recommended for Reading glasses to correct the defects in their eyes, close to two hundred people received free drugs to correct the defects in their eyes while close to 150 people were found to have matured Cataract that should be operated .
The screening program will continue on Sunday and Monday while the Eye surgery will commence on 25th January till 28th January,2023.
“He said, special attention was given to the aged because they have served this community, state and Nigeria during their youth days, the trained personnel were on ground to take names as people arrived and numbers were given to them Each person was attended, using the number given to them,the exercise was hitch free, he submitted.
