Aregbesola Advises Muslim Students To Be Diligent And Discipline

The former Governor of Osun State and current Federal Minister of Interior of Nigeria, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola has advised Muslim students to be diligent and disciplined while leaving the success in their endeavors to Allah.

He advised them at the Higher Institutions Convention of Muslim Students (HICOMS) 2021 Mentorship Chat organized by Council of Higher Institutions (COHI), an organ of MSSN Lagos State Area Unit.

The Honourable Minister emphasized the importance of diligence, discipline and firm belief in Allah at the event that was held on the 3rd of July at Lagos State University, Epe Campus.

“If you are diligent, disciplined and faithful to Allah, you can’t fail. Failure is impossible”, he buttressed.

When asked about how he was able to tackle the challenges he faced in office, Aregbesola said, while quoting a Yoruba adage that, “You cannot step into water and be crying that it is cold. You must have prepared yourself for the temperature before stepping into it”.

“I see whatever challenge I face in my office or any of the public offices I have held as an inspiration and opportunity to prove myself and meet my objective and vision of serving the people”, he replied.

Aregbesola concluded his session by urging the students to be a conveyor of compassion, care, concern to everything around them and having positive impact and influence on others.

A special prayer session was organized for the minister to support his service and seek ultimate guidance for him.

The Convention which was to mark the end of a leadership of the council executives and usher in a new leaders ended on the 4th of July, 2021 with Abdulbasit Abdusalam handing over to Abdulhafeez Odusanya as the Coordinator and Sumayyah Ajani handing over to Aminah Ahmad as the Female Coordinator.
