Nollywood actor, Yomi Fabiyi, on Tuesday said that those insulting the veteran actors and members of the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria
for their recent blacklisting of actresses, Iyabo Ojo and Nkechi Blessing Sunday were in the habit of abusing their parents.

The actresses had been vocal in their condemnation of Olanrewaju Omiyinka, a now-suspended member of TAMPAN, who is facing charges of sexual assault.

Claiming that the actresses were exposing them to public ridicule, the association on Saturday barred its members from working with the actresses and threatened to frustrate them out of the industry

Lots of reactions have trailed the threat of the association both from the actresses and other celebrities.

However, Fabiyi, who had championed the cause for Baba Ijesha’s release, pending his conviction by a court of law, pointed out that those who cursed the elders of the movie practitioners association showed that they also abuse their parents.

Via his verified Instagram handle, Fabiyi said, “If someone claims to be angry about whatever cause or act done by an individual in a family and insults all the ELDERS and UNBORN in that family, look no further, they have been insulting and abusing their parents. Same for those indulging them online and offline.

“We are Africans, if someone repeatedly wants to react and always cross the red line by insulting the platform God used for them, they (have) turned delusional and aside (from) keeping such at arm’s length, natural justice is what is crucial.”
