The LASU team lost to the eventual winner, LASUTH in the quarter, playing under protest that LASUTH used ineligible players, but, the organisers threw out the protest.

The fair play trophy is always awarded to the best behaved and well composed team, that comported itself, even, in the face of challenges, obstacles and bad officiating during the competition.

Meanwhile, back home at LASU, the much talked about “Game on” football challenge, between Team Admin and Team Academic ended on a stalemate. At the end of proceedings, both sides settled for 1-1 scoreline at the Sports Centre, main campus, Ojo, Lagos on Thursday, 15th December, 2022.

With defeat imminent for Team Admin, they quickly put their acts together, tightening the midfield play and moving forward to get the equaliser.
The strong play in the midfield, soon, yielded result as Team Admin got the much needed equaliser as captain of the side, Gbadegesin won the ball in the midfield, putting a pass to Wale Amodu and the midfielder found top striker, Alan Pasu upfront, who blasted the ball past onrushing goalkeeper Isreal to restore parity.

At least, Team Admin, would have scored more goals before the half time, but, anxiety in front of the goal was their greatest undoing. The goalkeeper, too showed made some saves.
Just before half time, Ganiu Akinola made an attempt to increase his side’s goals, after getting away from his marker, but, his curling shot about 30 metres hit the upright and a relief for the opponents.
The scoreline at half time read 1-1.

On resumption of play, after the break, both sides made some changes. The changes didn’t make so much impact as both sides tried to find more goals, with few chances coming to both sides, still, no goals to alter the result.
