The leadership of the Lagos State chapter of the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM) has called for help in the search for one of its members who was said to be missing since Monday, June 15.
In a message shared with our correspondent by the chairman of the chapter, Mrs. Blessing Israel, a pre-operative nursing officer at the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute Metta, Tola Adetola, had left home on Sunday for work on Sunday but she neither returned home nor reported at work.
According to the union, Ms. Adetola, a resident of Bariga had left home in a commercial bus to the hospital around 7p.m on the fateful day.
The union’s statement reads in part; “We hereby inform the public that Ms Alao Adetola a perioperative nursing officer 1 with the Federal Medical Centre, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, who left home for her place of work on Monday, June 15, 2020, has not been seen since then.
“We implore anyone with useful information to please notify the management of Federal Medical Centre Ebute Metta, Lagos State NANNM chairman or call the following numbers: 08114078779, 08072869636, 08055308053.”
In a similar development, the hospital’s management has sent out messages through various social media platforms, announcing the unfortunate incident.
The statement reads, in part; “The management of FMC and the family of the missing nurse call on Nigerians with useful information on the whereabouts of the nurse to contact the management of FMC Ebute-Metta on the following numbers; 08114078779, 08072869636, 08055308053.”
