The Lagos State Waste Management Authority (LAWMA) is intensifying war against cart pushers in the state, just as it urged residents to stop patronising them.
This is as the LAWMA Enforcement Team rounded up cart-pushers in Eti-Osa Local Government Area, for flagrant disregard of the Environmental Laws of the State.
In a statement, LAWMA said: “Residents are admonished to shun patronising the outlawed cart-pushers whose activities pose dangers to the environment and people living in it.
“The State Government is reiterating once again, that, any form of environmental indiscipline and flagrant disobedience to any of the environmental laws will be met with strict sanctions and no one, no matter how highly placed will be spared
“Cart pushing and its likes remained banned and totally outlawed in the state.
“Patronise assigned PSP operators and call LAWMA toll-free numbers: 07080601020 and 617, for waste management issues in your area.”
