No Oil Pipeline Fire, Nor Vandalisation At Aboru, Ipaja- LASEMA

Following the report of an Oil Pipeline Fire at Aboru in Iyana Ipaja axis of the State, and activation of the Lagos State Emergency Response Plan by LASEMA, it was discovered that there was no fire, nor vandalization along the said NNPC Oil Pipeline.

The distress call on the incident recevied at about 12:25p.m by the Agency, which elicited the quick response was attested to be a hoax call by even residents domiciled around the said pipeline that was alleged to have been vandalised. This much was also corroborated by NSCDC and LNSC officials.

Situation Report emanating from office of the DG/CEO LASEMA, Dr. Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu on the Pipeline Fire at Aboru, Iyana Ipaja has it that, “A distress call was received about a fire outbreak at the above mentioned location.

“Upon arrival at the incident site, the Agency Response Team observed that there was neither fire nor, vandalization along the NNPC Pipeline. Residents around the area also confirmed that there was no fire outbreak, nor vandalization along the said pipeline.

“This was further corroborated by NSCDC and LNSC officials. Operations concluded”.
