The Guarranty Trust Bank has revealed her plan to open on Saturday January 28 and Sunday January 29, 2023 from 10am to 3pm in order to receive cash deposit from customers.
This information which was disseminated officially to all customers, is aimed to ease the deposit of old notes of ₦200, ₦500 and ₦1000.
It is recalled that, the Federal Government as declared Tuesday, January 31st, 2023 as the deadline for the use of the old Naira notes as a legal tender. So, the weekend operation is to ensure customer meets the deadline.
However, according to the bank, the operation on the weekend will be restricted to cash deposit only.
