He’s an astute politician. A young, vibrant and community-loving person. Not satisfied with the situation in his community, Olori/Omituntun, he with the support of a few other youths in the community came up with a Community Based Organisation aimed at giving the community people a sense of belonging.

With this organisation, drainages within the environment were desilted, football matches were organised, and various youth were empowered among other community development activities.

Courtesy of his outstanding selfless performance as a leader of the CBO, he was pushed forward to vie for the position of councillor in 2008 which he won and consequently made the leader of Alimosho Local Government house.

He was re-elected in 2012 and once more returned as a leader of the Alimosho Local Government house.

Immediately after the expiration of his second term as a leader of the Alimosho house in 2015, he was found worthy and consequently appointed as the Executive secretary to the council till 2016.
His accomplishments and achievements made the Alimosho people find him most suitable to continue leading the local government.
As a result, he was given the mandate to serve as the Executive Chairman in 2017.

His relentless efforts in building the Alimosho of our dreams are so visible to Alimosho residents that they can give him a second term to serve as the Executive Chairman in 2021.

Hon Jelili bagged his Ordinary National Diploma (OND) and his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mass Communication at Moshood Abiola Polytechnic and he is presently a Lawyer in the making.

As an Executive Secretary and later as Executive Chairman, Hon Jelili has broken several political records.

He was the youngest Executive Chairman in Lagos when he won in 2017.
He is the first Executive chairman to construct a storey-building Primary Health Center (PHC) and an ultra-modern public school in Alimosho Local Government as a whole and the second of its kind in Alimosho LGA will soon be unveiled somewhere in Shasha.

This signifies his concern for the well-being of Alimosho residents.
Hon Jelili has put Alimosho on the advantage side of history when he partnered with Cuba, Venezuela, Turkey and German NGC for various empowerment and knowledge-sharing.

This is in addition to the periodic local government empowerment aimed at ensuring that Alimosho people do not live in penury despite the economic situation of the country.

Also, a host of other partnerships with various bodies to empower the Alimosho people.

In the area of Education, Hon Jelili has constructed and refurbished most of the Primary schools in Alimosho.

One of the most distinct is Aregbesola Primary School in Akowonjo which was newly built and others like Abati Primary School which was refurbished.

To boost learning and still ensure skill acquisition, Hon Jelili has established a well-equipped skill acquisition centre in each of the schools.

This is to ensure that no child of Alimosho will finish Primary education without hands-on skills.

Hon jelly has won several awards including the Omoluabi Royal Icon award, Partner in Service award, Pillar of Peace and Security award and most recently the Prestigious Leadership Award presented to him by Fight Against Corruption Organisation and lots more.
In other to sharpen his managerial ability, he, from time to time, attends conferences within and outside the shores of the country.
One such conference was themed on managing the complexity of decision-making at the executive level organised by Kennesaw State University School of conflict management, Georgia, United State of America.

Hon Jelili is married to Alhaja (Mrs) Kabirat Sulaimon with kids.
