Sen. Bola Tinubu, All Progressives Congress (APC) National Leader, has commiserated with the Bishop of Sokoto Catholic Diocese, Dr Matthew Kukah, over the passing of his mother, Madam Abashen Kukah.
Tinubu, in statement by his Media Aide, Mr Tunde Rahman, in Lagos on Thursday, described the deceased as a “deeply religious woman” who lived a blessed life.
Late madam Kukah died in the early hours of Friday, July 10 in Kaduna at 86.
The APC leader also extended his condolences to other members of the Kukah Family and all those she left behind.
Tinubu said: “My heartfelt sympathy and condolences to Bishop Kukah over the recent passing of his mother, Madam Abashen Hauwa Kukah, in her home in Kaduna.
“Please be consoled by the memories of the time you shared together and the fact that Mama lived a blessed life.
“She was a deeply religious person who devoted her time to the service of God and humanity,” he said
Tinubu prayed that the Munificent God give the bishop and all his family members strength to live without her.
“May He also grant Mama’s soul eternal rest,” Tinubu said
