UK Varsity Bans Ekweremadu As Visiting Professor

The University of Lincoln has banned its visiting professor, Ike Ekweremadu, after he was accused of trafficking a child into the country to harvest his organs.

According to LincolnshireLive, a University of Lincoln spokesperson, Ekweremadu will not be carrying out duties as a visiting professor pending the police investigation.

The spokesperson said, “Visiting professors are often, as is in this case, non-resident at the university, unpaid and advisory.

“We are deeply concerned about the nature of these allegations but as this is an active police investigation, we cannot comment further at this stage.

“Whilst this matter is subject to investigation, this person will not be undertaking any duties as visiting professor at Lincoln.”

The politician was recently made a visiting professor at the University of Lincoln.

Ekweremadu and his wife, Beatrice are accused of taking a homeless minor to the UK from Nigeria to transplant his organs into their daughter, Sonia, who is suffering from kidney failure.
