Two officers of the Nigeria Police Force were reportedly killed on Sunday when some unknown gunmen attacked a security checkpoint in Enugu State.
It was gathered that the slain officers were on stop and search operation at a police checkpoint close to the University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus, UNEC, when the assailants caught them unawares.
A video seen on social media showed the two security operatives lying in a pool of their blood as passersby watched.
The Enugu State Police Command is yet to issue any statement on the incident as of reporting time.
